چکیده
This paper aims to achieve vibration suppression for multi-component floating structures under ocean waves. To this end, a multiple-passive-TMD (tuned mass damper) structure is employed, and numerical model developed incorporating both the dynamics of hinged foundation passive TMDs. Magnitude of vibration triggering component determines safety of structures
Transmission of blast waves is a complex phenomenon and the characteristics vary with blast design parameters and geo-technical properties of medium. Frequency of vibration and triggering component for structural excitation generally quantifies safe vibration magnitude. At closer distance or higher elevations than the blast locations, vertical or transverse component will be the first arrival t...
متن کاملVibration Suppression via Smart Structures Across a Temperature Range
Many vibration suppression systems are required to function across a variety of different temperatures, yet most literature ignores the effects of temperature changes on the structure and on the closed loop response. This paper presents an experimental implementation of a vibration suppression system based on a piezoceramic actuator that effectively controls vibration of a clamped panel as it u...

Three-component reactions have emerged as useful methods because the combinationof three components to generate new products in a single step is extremely economical, among the multi-component reactions. A green, simple, efficient, and cost-effective procedure has been carried out by the synthesis of dihydropyrimidinonesin Biginelli’s condensation of ethyl cyanoacetate, aldehyde and urea or thio...

متن کاملVibration suppression in ultrasonic machining described by non-linear differential equations via passive controller
Vibrations are usually undesired phenomena as they may cause damage or destruction of the system. However, sometimes they are desirable, as in ultrasonic machining (USM). In such case, the problem is a complicated one, as it is required to reduce the vibration of the machine head and have reasonable amplitude for the tool. In the present work, the coupling of two non-linear oscillators of the t...
